Jack is a special guy, estimated to be 17hh he is a gentle giant. He is a bay thoroughbred gelding and 8 years old. Jack ended up in a paddock, untouched post-retirement and sadly ended up in pretty thin. His current person has been looking after him for two years and he has put on a lot of condition. He has been ridden by a 14-year-old girl. I have been in touch with someone from his racing stable who says he was an absolute sweetheart and that seems to be the consensus no matter who I speak to. He is being rehomed as the young woman who has him has very little time with school and her original horse. He is now ready to move on to a new person who has the ability to continue his reeducation.
He has been ridden but not a lot so there is still work to do with retraining him. I am told he is a really quick learner and quiet. He needs help with tieing up, leading and gets unsure with too much pressure but he is very kind and has never done anything to hurt anyone. He is easy to catch and comes when called, is good for the farrier and dentist. He is out of practice on the float and would be used to travelling on an angle float
The person helping the current young owner thinks he is pretty special and would make an amazing allrounder with some jumping potential.

I do not know this horse personally but do know the ex-trainer, trackwork rider and vet who used to treat him while racing.
