Leo is a handsome, bay thoroughbred. He has a presence that feels very grounded. He is rising 5, approx 17hh, with 2 white socks on his hind legs. He last raced 22 Oct 22 and has had only 5 starts. He is tall but has a relatively short/medium back so would suit a tall, slim to medium-built rider. He would suit a male or female rider. He is a nice ride, comfortable, and straightforward. He has no vices, is a kind horse and is easy to manage. He is good for the farrier and everyone else who handles him. He is comfortable on an angle load float and is in training with a knowledgeable, kind trainer and her family. They are clearly very fond of him.
Unfortunately, he is being retired due to an injury that will prevent him from racing or jumping. X Rays have not been done but the vet has diagnosed a fractured lateral sesamoid right fetlock. He has had 8 weeks of box rest and will need another 4 weeks before being turned out into a small yard. The prognosis is good for a non-strenuous post-racing career, trail riding, low-level dressage, pleasure riding, working equitation, adult riding club etc
He will need to go to someone I know or someone who can be vouched by someone I know. If you would like to organise a vet check that is welcome.
If you have any questions, please ask and I will get an answer for you from one of the family members if I do not know. Please note he had just had a bath when I took the majority of these photo's so it is not a 100% accurate depiction of his colour.
