Someone will be very lucky, this is a super horse. Lockey is a handsome, rising 4-year-old bay, thoroughbred gelding with a white star and 2 even white socks on his hindlegs. He is a chunky, strong type about 16hh, and short-backed so he will need a slim to medium rider. You could also be tall would also suit. He is easy to do everything with but is very fresh atm. He is unraced and is very friendly, seeking human contact.
He will need a capable, experienced person to help him transition to a post-racing life. He had a break between his preparations to recover from a tendon injury and came back into work successfully. Although the vet not being concerned, there was some heat in the injured tendon after a jump out and the owners decided to retire him rather than risk further injury. He is currently sound. He would make a nice show, working equitation, farm, trail riding, liberty, all-rounder, low-level everything else horse. I do not think he would suit high-level competing in jumping, eventing, or anything else too strenuous like polo, barrel racing etc. A vet check is welcome if you wish.
You will need to be someone I know or can be vouched for by someone I know, If that is not possible I would like to be able to chat to your vet or similar. You will need to meet him in person, I do not rehome sight unseen except in exceptional circumstances.
