RACEHORSE REHOMING: WOMBAT

Updated: 20 hours ago

UPDATE: Wombat has found an amazing home.

Wombat is a stunning, 5 year old bay mare. She is approximately 15,2hh and a chunky type. She is unraced and untrialled with only one preparation. Unfortunately, she sustained a small injury in her first jump out and as she wasn't showing a lot of promise, the owner has decided to rehome her rather than risk further injury. She has a lovely temperament and her trackwork rider has said, "She is a quiet ride and not strong, She's very sweet and lovely to handle." She has some lovely bloodlines, mummy is Setta Rocks and daddy is Salade.

She would make a lovely all-rounder, working equitation, trail riding, farm work or some low level everything. I rarely say this but she could be OK for a confident beginner, provided you have a good coach/trainer to guide you. She would love to be someone's best fiend and is the type who really wants a one on one connection with her person.

You will need to be someone I know or can be vouched for by someone I know.

I am more than happy to go through her injury with you, she has had 7 weeks in a box and is ready to move to small yard. She will need to have another 8 - 9 weeks off work but should be OK to start back at that point. Happy for you to organise a vet check if you wish.

Please fill in an Expression of Interest Form. if you have done this in the last 6 months, just let me know you are interested.
